| Making A Purchase Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our Catalogue and click on any items that you wish to buy to put them into the shopping cart. When you have finished your selection, click on "Order" and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to satisfy the order. If you are shopping from outside the UK, place your order and your credit card company will convert the transaction into your currency before it appears on your statement. | Shipping And Handling For most items we have one price for packing, insurance and shipping per order so the more you order the cheaper it works out. Within the United Kingdom it is £4.40p per order, within Europe it is £8.80p per order and outside Europe it is £12 per order. Tthese charges are for prints (ltd, std or posters etc), T-Shirts & books. If you are buying an original work of art from one of two Original Art Galleries then these charges do not apply. We will email you when we receive your order with the best insured shipping options we have available at that time). Please note that all orders are sent by recorded, tracked services and will need to be signed for when they arrive. Framed prints or posters will have surcharges added to the above to cover the extra packing and shipping costs involved for these items. All charges are clearly displayed before you go to the payment stage. |
| Delivery Schedule Orders within the UK paid by credit/debit card usually arrive well within two weeks and often within one week. International orders paid for by credit/debit card can also arrive within one week but please allow three weeks. Orders that are to be shipped to a delivery address other than the card registered address will not take any longer even though there is additional security checking. Orders paid for by a posted cheque etc will take about one week longer to reach you. During the Christmas trading period we have extra staff and orders are dispatched in less than half the usual time, often being processed and dispatched the same day.Orders from outside the UK paid for by cheque must be in the form of an International Money Order or cheque drawn on a UK bank (unless previously agreed with us and conversion fees paid). Cheques that otherwise incur bank charges may be refused. If in doubt, contact us first. Some overseas orders containing large framed prints or posters, books, T-Shirts or a large volume of prints may need to be shipped by surface mail rather than air-mail and may take 4 - 6 weeks. If in doubt, please ask. If you are buying a present for someone and need to receive your order by a certain date then contact us by phone or email. We will do everything we can to help you. Your order will be shipped within one week of us charging your credit or debit card so if you have seen the charge on your statement but have not received an email dispatch notification within one week of the processing date please contact us. |
| Back Orders Back-ordering is not usually necessary because our website has a stock control system and it is highly unusual for an ordered item to be out-of-stock. In the rare case that an item is not in stock a customer is immediately informed by email of the stock problem and how long we expect it to be until we have new stock. There is then the option to wait or cancel the order. Please ensure we always have your current email address, particularly overseas customers. |
| Tax Charges All orders are supplied free of all UK taxation. |
| Credit Card Security All credit and debit card numbers are encrypted when the order is placed using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption shown by the golden padlock on the card payments page (top or bottom of page depending on your browser). They are only decrypted after they reach our computer where they are printed out for our order processing and then immediately deleted from the system. They are not held in clear text on any web site. Our manual archive does not hold all your personal details and is kept securely locked. If you order again within the expiry of your card and your address details etc have not changed you can select to pay separately (the cheque etc option) and email us to ask us to retrieve your card details from the manual archive, otherwise we need your card details each time you order from us. |
| Guarantee We guarantee your satisfaction. It is very rare for an order to be damaged in transit because we have years of experience of packing these types of goods. However, if your order arrives damaged then package it up in the same packaging it arrived in (strengthening where possible) and return it to us. We will replace the damaged items and refund your costs. We make every effort to ensure that the descriptions and photographs of all our products are accurate but if you are dissapointed with your purchase in any way then please let us know. |

| Returns Policy If your order arrives damaged or has been mis-picked then please return it to us. We will replace it or refund you in full if it was the last of that item plus your return postage costs (up to the amount we charge for shipping to you). If you decide you don't want it after all you can return it in the same condition it was sent to you for a refund of the cost of the item or items. In these circumstances we cannot refund the return postage or the original shipping charge.We recommend that all returns are made using a delivery service that can be tracked or needs to be signed for. We cannot take responsibility for a returned item that does not arrive back at our offices. |
| Remittance Terms All orders are to be paid for in advance of dispatch. If an order is placed without payment through the secure on-line checkout we will send you regular reminders if we do not receive payment in case your cheque or card info has gone astray. If we do not receive payment then we will eventually cancel your order and notify you by email that we have done so.You can cancel your order at any time up until one or more of the following points has been reached:1. Your order has been packed and is in the loading bay.2. Your order includes framed items and the framing work has already commenced in our workshop.3. We have commissioned work or undertaken commitments on your behalf that have involved us in financial or resource outlay.If you need to modify or add anything to your order we will do everything we can to help. The best way to go about this is to email us with your order reference and what it is you would like change or add to your order.In the event that the payment method you used becomes invalid due to a chargeback or other claim against Artists UK that results in an order being delivered and not paid for then payment must be made within one month of receipt of goods. After that time, interest will be added to the outstanding amount at the rate of 1% per month (compounded) until such time as the debt is cleared plus all legal expenses and staff costs involved in recouping the amount owed, which will also attract the same level of interest. These terms are binding for any customer but may be reduced or annuled at the sole discretion of Artists UK depending on the individual circumstances and the degree of communication maintained by the customer regarding the outstanding amount. Only clear cases of fraud will be treated with the maximum severity. |
