MICHAEL MOORCOCK INSPIRED ART

Incredibly rare Elric portfolio published by Robert Gould's own publishing company Two Man Horse way back in 1977. The portfolio cover is gold foiled and measures275 x 344 mm. The inner sleeve has the Two Man Horse logo in black and gold. The Robert Gould Elric portfolio contains eight 270 x 340 mm black and white plates of his excellent Elric artwork AND a four page brochure with excerpt quotes from the novel Elric of Melnibone appropriate to each of the illustrations and a piece by Eric Kimball who was the other half of the horse :-)

All in all, a fabulous collectible for anyone into Michael Moorcock's character Elric of Melnibone or the artwork of Robert Gould and a double bonus for anyone into both, especially in such a mint condition !

This is the black and white version also published in 1978 by TWO MAN HORSE. This Robert Gould Elric print has also become very rare now. We just came across these miniatures sets, probably made from some promo images from way back. The mounting isn't amazing but still reasonable. Each image is 65 x 90 mm approx and the four are matted into an overall matt size of 290 x 340 mm ready for framing. These are the four book covers painted by Robert Gould for 'Elric of Melnibone', ' Sailor on the Seas of Fate', 'Weird of the White Wolf' and 'The Vanishing Tower' by Michael Moorcock.

Beautiful Robert Gould ink sketch from way back in 1974 and published by Two Man Horse N.R.B. in 1978. Long out-of-print and practically impossible to find but then you are used to Artists Uk achieving the impossible by now so we won't go on about it at great length when you just want to know the details! The image is 158 x 226 mm in a 40mm bevel-cut mount (matt) to an overall 238 x 306 mm. Less than four left!

This was another Robert Gould painting for the cover of the Michael Moorcock book of the same title so we've called it number two to avoid confusion with the other one that we retitled from White Wolf because of another one of that title! Robert Gould certainly keeps us on the hop, eh? Image size is 304 x 254 mm in a 60 mm mount to an overall 460 x 420 mm. Published way back in 1994 it is limited to only 1000 copies signed and numbered by Robert Gould in a silver pen on the black border just under the image with the title inbetween.
