Painted by Jim Burns for the Robert Silverberg book of the same title in the eighties. The image size is 276 x 225 mm on an overall 200 gsm gloss-art sheet that is 420 x 296 mm. Now this really is SOMETHIN' ELSE!!!! Described by the artist as a "Future Punk Heroine with Attitude" she is the forerunner of a new series of work by this major talent in the world of sci-fi and fantasy art. This painting was originally commissioned for the cover of Heavy Metal magazine March 2004 issue. Here it is available in a fabulous large Giclée print that fits straight into a standard A2 frame should you so wish (so we're talking 16" x 23" roughly). It is printed on Somerset Velvet Enhanced 255 gsm 100% cotton, mould-made, acid-free board which is a very high grade art board. The inks used are guaranteed light fast for at least 75 years so you'll still be able to enjoy it when you are well over 100 years old. It was printed on an a 6 Colour Proofer using Cromalin profiles with a Fiery RIP (Raster Integrated Processor). On top of that the edition is limited to ONLY 125 COPIES signed and numbered by Jim Burns. If you know his work and his attention to detail then you won't be surprised by the high specification of these prints that he has personally overseen the production of. Here's a real collector's piece to cherish.

This incredible painting was commissioned by Richard Lee and is published as a high quality digital print from the original acrylic painting using Cromalin Profiles with a Fiery Rip on Epson Matte Proofing Paper. WOW! The image is 660 x 596 mm (overall 762 x 710 mm incl. borders). Supplied unmounted. The title bar at the bottom is made to look metallic and is quite stunning in the print though it doesn't show up well in this small image here. Jim Burns says, "The idea for the image came purely from my commissioning client ... I made one or two suggestions - for instance turning the traditional dragon into something more akin to a 'wyvern' (No front legs, winged with strong hind limbs).
