O STARLING WHERE IS THY SONG by Victor Kenley Scott

O STARLING WHERE IS THY SONG by Victor Kenley Scott

Price: £48.00

200 x 160 mm image size in 60mm mount to overall 320 x 280 and framed. Black felt-tip pen sketch. Victor is 17 years old and this picture illustrates his poem of the same title. First verse as follows:-

Sing soft, sing low, sing sweet and sad

In morning's cool arbour of rains and winds

And dusty clouds that fill the sky.

They fly to horizons distant and far;

Gone forever and we still cannot hear -

O Starling, where is thy song?

TRANSCENDENTAL MEDITATION by Anon

TRANSCENDENTAL MEDITATION by Anon

Price: £65.00

The owner has no idea who painted this as neither does the previous owner. It is circa mid seventies and measures 490 x 620 mm painted on a thick board taped to hardboard. There a couple of surface marks which are not too obtrusive but could do with touching up. This piece of psychedlia is obviously inspired by the practice of Transcendental Meditation brought to the west by His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi in the late fifties. The words on it being something of a giveaway! So if you'd like to own a nice large original piece of psychedelic painting without having to pay through the roof for it then just click the button and it'll be on its way by Mantra Express.

NAROW BEADS OF YESTERDAY by Victor Kenley Scott

NAROW BEADS OF YESTERDAY by Victor Kenley Scott

Price: £57.00

200 x 275 mm image size in 60mm mount to overall 320 x 395 and framed. 'Black Beauty' pencil. Victor is 17 years old and this picture illustrates his poem of the same title. First verse as follows:-

In the damp earth,

The narrow beads of yesterday;

The envelopes of future letters...

Our worth among the leaves?

Raindrops cool the lament.

The purple cloud resumes its normal colour.

Crackling the broken leaves;

Autumn frost on one who’s lost.

Umbrella dark like batwings.

Cold stone white and gray;

The narrow beads of yesterday

In the damp earth.
