JOHN ZEHENTNER

Hailing originally from London John Zehentner has been gaining an incredible reputation in the north-west of England with his amazingly realistic surrealism. It looks more than photographically real but strangely somewhat impossible.

In addition to his award-winning super-surrealism John has also produced some amazing abstract work for jazz musicians and even some real fantasy pieces like his 'faerie dance'. His paintings have won competitions and been applauded by other artists and the general public alike. He was also a founder member and tremendous inspiration behind the much-loved-but-sadly-now-ended Waterfron Arts Project in Southport. The project used unoccupied retail units that did finally get occupied, unfortunately.

His finely-honed artistic skills will be obvious even in the small images here and no doubt you'll be staggered when you get your own muxh larger signed print. Grab them now before he gets too famous and they start costing a small fortune.

MC ESCHER - THE UNIQUE SURREAL PERSPECTIVE GENIUS

MC Escher died in the seventies but his work looks just as fresh and alive today as it did during his lifetime. Here is a totally unique genius. He created impossible pictures - a waterfall that couldn't exist, buildings whose perspective tugs at our 4-dimensional reality, creatures that metamorphose across the page. Much of the work here has long been unavailable but here it is back again and if you look in our T-Shirt section you'll find you can even walk around with that impossible waterfall pouring down your chest!

MC ESCHER T-SHIRT COLLECTION :- You can now wear the art of MC Escher and have a queue of people looking at you trying to work it out! Go to the Sitemap on the left-hand menu and scroll down to THE AMAZING FANTASTIC T-SHIRT, HOODIES & SWEATSHIRTS section where you'll find a whole section of incredible MC EScher T-Shirts !!! ENJOY !!!

PATRICK WOODROFFE

What can you say about this guy Patrick Woodroffe ??! A self-taught artist, the most incredibly detailed technique and probably one of the best surrealists in the world ever! Influences of both Dali and Bosch are in his work along with many others but overall Patrick Woodroffe has an unique style that stands out from the crowd. What's more, as you'll find if you ever get hold of one of Patrick Woodroffe's books, he was also an amazing writer. I guess most of us didn't get to the queue for 'creative talent' as quickly as Patrick Woodroffe did! In these sections you'll find some incredibly collectible Patrick Woodroffe items that are literally just not available anywhere else and if you want them then please bear in mind that we do not have many of them and it really is 'first come, first served' and when they are gone they really are gone! You'll also find a Patrick Woodroffe profile in here to tell you more about Patrick Woodroffe's life and work. It is very sad that such an amazing talent is no longer with us.

MORDEHAI BELO

Also known as Mark Belo, this artist has produced some beautiful abstract artwork. Some of his art is available in large litho print and others are printed on canvas. Freedom and Change are key words to understanding for Mordehai and living by the beach promotes cosmic visions for him. He also discovered a world of rainbow coloured deserts and tropic sunshine, crystal clear red sea waters and a panoramic landscape in the Sinai Mountains. Painting has always been an attempt to project his fantasies and visions into reality.

CYBEREALISM AND OTHER DIGITAL PHOTO ART

A range of large prints etc of digital photo-realistic images created by modern computer-based artists.

BOB VENOSA

The super-realistic spiritual surrealism of Bob Venosa defies description. All these years down the road his work is as vibrant and alive as ever.

PAUL KLEE

When Paul Klee died in Berne in 1940 it was the passing away of a pioneer of abstract art and his fame continued to grow after his death. He applied a degree of artistic technique that has made him the envy of many painters. All the more so as he developed several of these techniques himself. He had a romantic and satirical approach to abstract art blended with a philosophical sense of humour. We are pleased to have found and present to you here a selection of prints of some of his fabulous work. Sadly, we have few of them in stock so when they are gone, they are gone.

ABSTRACT ART - GENERAL SECTION

For all those artists where we don't have enough to give thm their own section including of course the brilliant 'Scream' by E.Munch and many others that await you as you go clickety click!

SURREALISM - GENERAL SECTION

Although some surrealists have their own sections this is the place generally for all things weird and wonderful (a fish!!) at the bizarre end of the galaxy that is Artists UK. Come and enjoy a day out away from your mind!!!

NAINI AHLUWALIA

Working mostly in ink for these works they vary from abstract to still life covering subjects ranging from depression to village life ... and of course there are bananas as well ....

KANDINSKY

Technically one of the greatest abstract painters ever! His work is incredibly vibrant and powerful whilst at the same time containing a sensitivity sometimes missing in modern art when trying to be outrageous overshadows true creativity. He is certainly one painter to point to when cynics say that abstract art is nonsense.

JOAN MIRO

Sadly, no print of "Ceci est le colour des mes reves" that I loved years ago but all his work is wonderful in it's stark simple naive spirituality.

SALVADOR DALI

What on earth do we need to say? Only those who have been living in a sensory deprivation tank all their lives could not have heard of this grand master of surrealism who has indpired so many artists including the likes of famous names like Patrick Woodroffe and Bob Venosa.
