VALUATIONS

The Artists UK valuation service works by contacting artists and dealers around the world associated with the item in question to establish the likely selling price at auction. Please be aware however that the valuation is an indication only and on any given auction day an item may go for above or below the price given. A private dealer or collector may also be prepared to offer more or less than the valuation. Artists UK accepts no liability regarding the accuracy of the valuation and our charge is made for the work carried out obtaning a valuation for the item, not for the valuation itself. Our charge is per valuation and will only be charged to the customer's card where we are able to obtain a satisfactory valuation from a trusted source or sources. If we are unable to obtain a valuation we will E-Mail you to notify you of this and your card will not be charged. The valuation will be sent to you by post to the address you enter on your order. Please allow 30 days for us to complete our research. THE POST AND PACKING CHARGE ADDED AUTOMATICALLY TO YOUR ORDER WILL NOT BE CHARGED TO YOUR CARD. We regret we do not have the resources available to enter into any correspondence regarding valuations where an Intial Valuation Request has not been purchased.

This option is ONLY for customers who have previously purchased an initial valuation (see above) and require a review of the valuation some time later. THE POST AND PACKING CHARGE ADDED AUTOMATICALLY TO YOUR ORDER WILL NOT BE CHARGED TO YOUR CARD. It is recommended to review a valuation under one or more of the following conditions: (1) Ten years have elapsed since the initial valuation (2) The artist, writer or other main contributor to the making of the item has died (3) The subject matter of the item has come into high or low public prominence for any reason (eg. major films released or political or social changes affecting the saleability of the item). If in doubt, customers who have purchased an intial valuation may ask us for advice free of charge at any time. We regret we do not have the resources available to enter into any correspondence regarding valuations where an Intial Valuation Request has not been purchased.
