Very rare Thomas Canty Limited Edition of his brilliant cover for the book Forerunner Foray by legendary sci-fi author Andre Norton (Penguin/Roc, Aug ’92). The image Size is 344 x 164 mm on an overall 364 x 278mm. Print supplied unmounted. LIMITED TO ONLY 50 COPIES SIGNED AND NUMBERED BY THOMAS CANTY. Print signed on the image by Thomas Canty with a gold pen. This Forerunner Foray print must really be one of the most collectible Thomas Canty prints ever! (note: this Thomas Canty print was previously listed wrongly as Forunner Foray ... just to prove we are human and make mistakes :-)

The image is 335 x 450mm with a lovely 12.5 mm two tone painted border on a 428 x 598mm overall board size. It is actually a heavy archival type stock of some sort which has 'White Raven by Thomas Canty' embossed under the image with the artist's signature on the left and numbered over 600 on the right. A really lovely romantic image. This one is cheaper through the website than in our current catalogue!

Based on the Bradbury story about the glory and truama of being a young boy, ‘Dandelion Wine’ is an image size of 315 x 505mm. Signed & Numbered over 575 with an unmounted overall size of 610 x 445mm. The boy Douglas in the book is a dreamer and creative joyful character who explores the mysteries of the world and finds his own rules (Don't run or the day will go too quickly!). A fabulous book by the legendary Bradbury and a great painting of it. Do read this Bradbury book if you haven't already. It’s really lovely, believe me.

They are numbered to only 375 and signed by Mr Canty of course. With all these Canty limited editions we have no info currently about board weight or the inks but the prints are all very good quality.

What a find! This beautiful portfolio of Thomas Canty sketchwork was published way back in 1981 and although there were 1500 signed and numbered copies of the folio (first plate as usual for these old USA folios) they are getting thin on the ground now. The folio measures 300 x 430 mm and contains seven lovely prints of Canty's work on a beautiful textured paper. Each one bears a French title and the cover plate itself is a work of art. Great gift for anyone into subtle pencil sketch work - this shy and retiring artist is in a league of his own.
