The staggering scale and activity of the great battle is brought to life here by the great talent of this incredible artist. Image size is 477 x 295mm. Overall board size is 565 x 373mm. Supplied unmounted due to it's size. Signed and numbered to 500 by Alan Lee (under the image as usual with numbering on the left over 500 and signature on the right). Printed on acid-free board on a hand-press using light-fast inks and proofed by the artist. This Alan Lee Limited Edition is about the same size as the original painting so it's the closest you'll get to owning an original without the cost of one.

Conservation mounting is supplied as standard if we frame this print for you.

This original painting must be worth many thousands nowadays. Brian Froud painted it for an ‘Alice in Wonderland’ exhibition that went round the USA, Britain & Japan. He wanted to do Alice in his own way by recreating the feeling of Alice in the faery realm. In the background you can see the Mad Hatter, the White Rabbit etc.mixed into a plethora of faery images. The painting was done in acrylics but also uses coloured pencil and ink. The other two paintings Brian put in the exhibition were ‘Drink Me’ and ‘The Red Queen’. At Artists UK we decided to publish this one as a fine-art limited edition print. Although the two other paintings are excellent we really liked this one. The limited edition is an image size of 399 x 278 mm in a 60 mm acid-free mount to an overall size of 540 x 407mm. It is signed and numbered over 500 by Brian Froud. We used a 350gsm acid-free board and light-fast inks. They were produced on a hand-press by craftsmen and the definition and colours are excellent. Brian Froud is easily now regarded as one of the real top elite of fantasy artists and is very collectable. However, this very accurate fine-art limited edition will not cost you the earth.
