VERY RARE!!! Once upon a time, as we understand it,Marvel Comics decided that an adult audience could be effectively marketed with a glorious colour cover and black & white interior on the basis that adults weren't so fussed about colour as kids. It didn't work that well. Not many artists could come up with stunning enough artwork in black & white and even then the work still looked better in colour. We think the logic by then was "Hey, we get colour on TV why don't we get it in this comic?". Anyway, Richard Corben produced this painting for the second issue of Epic in the aformentioned category, which was published in this form as a massive 500 x 700mm poster print in 1980. It is quite rare now. Our copies are a little creased so we are only offering them fully dry-mounted and framed. If this doesn't suit you then send us an email, as also if you'd prefer a mount round it first.
