Another of the 'Four Noble Plants' is the Chysanthemum which symbolises Autumn (each plant symbolises a season if you hadn't already known or worked that one out). Perched high on the Cherry Blossom which is the 'King of Flowers' in Japanese tradition. Obviously, this bird is not an original native of Japan but were bred in captivity many, many years ago and much sought after by Japanese nobility overr some three hundred years. It can only be seen on close inspection but we felt we should mention it and this fact is reflected in the lower price.

Hill Mynah is the nice name for it. It is also called The Grackle, probably as derived from its similar sounding Latin name of gracula... they could have done worse and called it Count Gracula I suppose....
