ILFACHROMES, CIBACHROMES and TRANSPARENCIES

EXTREMELY RARE! Shown on page 133 of Patrick Woodroffe's book Mythopoeikon this painting was commissioned for the Brian Aldiss book of the same title published by Transworld in London in 1974. The imagery is that the passage of time eventually brings to pass the end of the prophet as well as their visions. The vision catches up with the visionary! It was also more recently used as the cover of the Strawbs album 'Burning For You'. This rare cibachrome reproduction of Patrick Woodroffe's fabulous painting has an image area measuring 37cm in diameter on a 50 x 40 cm black photograhic sheet. There is a slight dink to the sheet in the upper part of the image but this is barely noticeable unless held at an angle in strong light. As you can see, it has been signed by Patrick Woodroffe on the image at the bottom. A particularly rare and awesome photographic reproduction for the avid Woodroffe collector. The image size is 430 x 350 mm on an overall size photographic sheet of the same size. Signed personally by Patrick Woodroffe, this is a transparent reproduction of the painting from page 126 of his book Hallelujah Anyway. It should not be confused with a normal litho print or Ilfachrome. The ideal way to display this beautiful and very rare item would be in a light-box or on a window. Being a transparency it should not fade even in direct sunlight. For the ardent Patrick Woodroffe fan this is certainly an unnusual and collectible item.
